[RESOLVED] How to boot from original software

Postby evanl81 » Mon May 09, 2011 2:24 am

Hi,

I followed the directions for creating a Arch Linux ARM usb for the PogoPlug Plus. All went according to plan, but I'm just unhappy with the product and want to return it. When I try to boot regularly, I just get a fast flashing green light. I was just wondering if there are steps I need to take to get it back to its normal process before I return it.

Thanks.

Indeed there are:
http://archlinuxarm.org/os/oxnas/oxnas-revert.sh

The link on this page will revert it to factory behavior.

Is there any way to revert, or reinstall Arch Linux ARM.. let's say maybe... possibly... after you accidently blew away the root FS.

Was playing around with AoE, exported out the wrong partition and mkfs.ext4 the wrong thing. So now I have a pogo pro that I still have an ssh connection to, with no binaries or tools, LoL.

As long as there is a valid rootfs extracted to sda1, it should boot. You should be able to just extract the rootfs from another linux machine, running as root (not sudo)

Hi,
Im trying to revert my pogoplug pro but whenever i try to run ./oxnas-revert.sh i get this error
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', './oxnas-revert.sh: line 90: unexpected EOF while looking for matching `"'
./oxnas-revert.sh: line 93: syntax error: unexpected end of file

Any help would be appreciated

A bad copy of the board check inadvertently caused this issue. I have fixed it. re-download and try again.

Well just have to correct that...

Essentially it is just a script that sets the uboot environment back to way they were at stock.
