I've looked at it before, but it didn't seem like it was going anywhere as well it was designed for the 8xx (810 & 850) not 78xx. That is why there I put together the 2011.04, and then the 2011.06 with the coherency fix for the glibc segfault issue.

The kernel from lemenkov does not have support the 7820. There is some code that is similar IIRC, but there is quite a bit of new code for the SoC. On the 7820 there is SMP, mPCI-e, SATA, among some other things.
