[SOLVED][ISSUE] udev 168+

Postby WarheadsSE » Tue Jul 05, 2011 7:26 pm

All,

Well, if you haven't seen it bite you by now, you're lucky but udev changed some things in 168+ that make it vary mad at our kernel. Namely, our kernel does not have the accept4() syscall, and it reall wants that. Myself and Xenoxoas are keenly aware of the issue, and are testing a patched udev today, that we hope will solve everyone's issue.

We will let you know.

First test a success! Clean install of ALARM on my Pro. Updated all packages and I have the udev issue. Forced an upgrade to the patched udev...SUCCESS! The log files are small. The CPU usage is low. Device mounting is working properly!

Once the package is prepared and we can make sure it installs cleanly, you all will be the first to know!

All OXNAS board owners:

pacman -Syu
pacman -Sy udev-oxnas

It has been added to our builder for the future :)

This works great. I know kernel can be patched to support new functions.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('WarheadsSE', 'A')ll OXNAS board owners:
pacman -S udev-oxnas
I get
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '[root@Arch Linux ARM install ~]# pacman -S udev-oxnas
error: target not found: udev-oxnas
')
