sata speed

So the sata speeds seems to be on slow side. I get 40 mb/s and my desktop gets 120 mb/s. Is this kernel fault or design

WarheadsSE, so what you're saying, is if I put some special sauce on the SoC, I can make it go faster? Where can I purchase it at?
