[RESOLVED] Changed my mind (twice)

Postby veterankamikaze » Fri Aug 19, 2011 6:14 am

I got my Pogoplug Pro (P01) a few days ago and followed the instructions at http://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv6 ... provideov3 to install. Then I changed my mind and, following the instructions at viewtopic.php?f=29&t=1114&start=10#p7633 to revert to the original firmware.

Now that I realize the Pogoplug won't meet my needs with the OOTB firmware, I want to try again. However, when I run
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '/sbin/fdisk/ /dev/sda')

the output is
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'fdisk: can't open '/dev/sda'')

if I run mount before running killall hbwd, I can see the USB key I want to use in the output. However running mount after killall hbwd, the key is not listed.

How can I reinstall the firmware so I can then move on to installing samba and netatalk?

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'cat /proc/partitions')

OK, so what does that tell me? With the USB key and another external drive turned on, I see:

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '
major minor #blocks name

31 0 131072 mtdblock0
31 1 14336 mtdblock1
31 2 116736 mtdblock2
8 16 976762584 sdb
8 17 976760001 sdb1
8 0 7823360 sda
8 1 7823359 sda1
')

Ah, damn. I think this is the result of me being up too late and running fdisk the wrong way. Please disregard!
