What Pogoplug do I have?

Postby Aqualung » Sun Sep 04, 2011 7:01 pm

I just bought myself a Pogoplug from Best Buy for $50 (on a "wild sale," though I suspect that I've been ripped off). Anyway, it quickly became clear to me that there's no way I can get anything interesting (such as .flac streaming) from my device unless I install my own software. The main question now, is to figure out exactly what Pogoplug device I have. The box says POGO-P21, but on the device bottom I have POGO-E02. So what Pogoplug device do I have please, and, more importantly, what choice of firmwares do I have?

All I need to do is stream my huge .flac collection, so no fancy and demanding video streaming required. Is that too much to ask?

Many thanks.

Get ssh into the box, and then run `cat /proc/cpuinfo`

If you indeed got a E02 in a P21 box.. You've gotten bamboozled a bit, but you might be better off because of it.

Here's what it says:

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '-bash-3.2# cat /proc/cpuinfo

Thanks. So how is this one better (or worse) than the P21?

Better kernel support, more RAM built in.
