Installed Archlinux what next?

Postby bharath » Sat Sep 10, 2011 9:08 pm

I finished flashing my pogo and it is running archlinux now. I next ran "pacman -Syu" to update pacman and also update any of the packages. Are there any other step that one must follow before one can start setting up the required services.

The upgraded packages were glibc, linux-api-headers and pacman.

When I re-run "pacman -Syu" it wants to install a while bunch of packages. Is it safe to do it, sorry to be asking so many questions as I am new to arch.

I am noticing that udevd is chewing 100% of the cpu, is there any reason why this could be happening.
