Hi,
I am testing a number of of boards / devices (mainly arm-based) to use them for ham (amateur radio) application, so I might also giving my pogoplug pro a try.
As I read that the pogoplug pro runs a "closed" kernel, does this mean that one cannot compile kernel-modules ourself?
I would like to know what devices and/or applications are supported by archlinux on the pogoplug pro before I install it on the thing.
I am mainly interested in audio in/out, and serial-port in/out and the ability to compile applications myself.
I had a look at the root filesystem file, as it looks like there are certain things missing that I would need (like the alsa utils, ogg/vorbis/speex/... libraries). Anycase, I also need to compile stuff myself, but I do not see "gcc" in the root-fillesystem file neither.
- how does one compile application themself?
- is it possible to cross-compile applications on (say) a i386 linux for this board?
PS. I did manage to run some applications I cross-compiled before for the Friendarm mini2440 developement-board on the puguplug (e.g. for "codec2" audio encoding/decoding); but that's not an idea sollution is it?
Any information welcome!
