Zarafa on PogoPlug

Postby MrSmith » Tue Sep 27, 2011 8:48 am

Hello

I have finally managed to install ArchLinux on my PogoPlug pro using an external esata HD. My Pogoplug has an ugly hole in its polished side and therewere some software problems but finally everything works. This board helps alot - Thanks !
To finish my "personal cloud" I would like to install zarafa (http://www.zarafa.com/). Unfortunately it can not be found in the packet manager, so I have to make it from source.

Has anyone experiences with zarafa on PogoPlug and can give me some hints ?
Is it better to compile on the Pogoplug or use a cross-compiler on my PC ? Is there any description how to set up a cross-compiler for ArchLinux on PogoPlug ?

Thanks. :)

The german magazine c't have recently published an article about zarafa. For one single user, far less hardware is necessary. As far as I rembered they have used a virtual machine with Ubuntu with only 128 MB RAM.

The purpose of this project is to sync my contacts and my calender on my PCs, my Tablet and my smartphone without using google.

Alright, it's your pain :?

http://archlinuxarm.org/developers/dist ... -compiling - Just ignore the bits about distcc, and you'll have your cross compiler. Compiling locally is easier and less complicated, but takes longer.

Not quiet, the article said they had 256 MB available. The vserver mentioned must be this one.
There are outdated PKGBUILDs available in the AUR, and here is a thread about zarafa on ARM. I don't have any experience with zarafa yet.
