Pogoplug Pro wireless as a repeater?

Postby PKG » Mon Oct 17, 2011 11:08 am

Hi everybody,

I have connected my pogoplug gigabit ethernet port to the ethernet port on my router so i am not using the wireless part of my plug. I wanted to know if it was possible to use the wireless part of my plug as a repeater. My router and plug are both N.
So my question is, which packages do i need to install? I can't seem to find this on google.

I don't think this hardware works in access point (ap) mode, not 100% sure, plus kernel has to have hostap and other things compiled in

I've not tried to run the driver in AP mode, but then the sources aren't exactly easily decipherable. Plus, the kernel doesn't have that in it.. good luck.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('WarheadsSE', ' ')...the kernel doesn't have that in it...

Will the new release that you are working on have this built into the kernel?

If I, along with redsquare, can get a kernel of 2.6.38+ compiled, we'll put anything/everything into it.

Hell, If I can figure out why kexec doesn't work, we've got a plan to make it easy to change kernels /and/ have a consistent rootfs boot drive.
