If the kernel is up to date, you can just use the 2012.07 rootfs.

@WarheadsSE: May I also request the source to your modified version of the kernel that contains the backported devtmpfs.

I will get on putting it on Github by this weekend, if that is okay. I'm a bit swamped with work at the moment.

I'm considering doing the upgrade on my Pogoplug Pro, but have some questions. A few pages back in this thread, somebody reported that WiFi didn't work. Has this been resolved? Do I need the PCI kernel to make it work? Also, will the new system support PL2303 USB to Serial hardware?

1) You have to have PCI to have built-in wifi.
2) Here are my kernel sources
3) Check the config :)

OK, so I have a B-01 that hasn't been upgraded in a while (since I broke SSH the last time I tried and had to spend a day fixing that) so I'd like to make sure I've got the steps right here:

I grab the patch from post #2 and run it as root.
mv /lib/modules /usr/lib/modules
pacman -Syu, (and probably the other pacman commands provided to the other out of date guy upthread)

Do I have that right? And then I can go about rolling node back to the last version since I patched just that last night and started getting seg faults?

I am digging into those node segfaults now.

Pretty much, yes. You could also just pass --ignore nodejs if you have an early enough node that its not using the system v8.

Nah, I updated Node last night without checking first. I'll just roll back until I find a version that works.

Thanks for all your help and hard work.
