anyone using HP inkjet printer on Oxnas?

at leasr two of us can't get the usb system ( lsusb) to properly recognize the inkjet ( or all in one) printer. if yours is working what kernel are you using.? etc... this only applies to the oxnas system my pink V2 works fine.

That's odd: the same drivers should work. I wonder whats different.

I don't know, my laserjet 1320 works just fine, but when I plug in the inkjet ( PSC 2200 all in one), lsusb stops working and cups can't find any usb connections.

yeah, that's a bigger problem.

I successfully installed my DeskJet printer the other night via cups. Be sure to download the 'hplip' driver set or it will not work properly.

my issue is that the plug usb module(?) fails once i connect the printer. i have a laserjet that works fine with cups and hplip.

Keep in mind that there seems to be a lot of uncertainty regarding blacklisting usblp, as some USB printers, including some Canon and Epson printer series, are not recognized without it. Several user reported issues with Samsung printers when using cups with blacklisted usblp module, the solution was to re-enable usblp and install cups-usblp from aur instead of regular cups package (https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=778104)

To blacklist the module:

/etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.confblacklist usblp

This should not really be effective at this point, but can be tried. The notes on the AUR package note that changes have been integrated to the main version of cups, but that it may be applicable in some instances.
