systemd-toosl and udev-oxnas are in conflict

I am on a Pogoplug Pro.

I am hesitant to move forward with anything here because I don't want to lose access and have to do something to work around a mostly working system.

still trying: avahi, minidlna
up next: asterisk, openvpn, proxy server of some sort
gave up: nfs and lvm

+1

peronnally I just added the systemd-tools in the list of ignore-packages in the /etc/pacman.conf file.
There are a few broken dependencies (initscript, mkinitcpio) but upgrading and ignoring the mkinitcpio package yielded no error, and reboot was ok (that's usually where hell breaks loose when udev-oxnas is involved)

EDIT:
the pacman.conf line reads:
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '
IgnorePkg = initscripts systemd-tools
')

For now, just don't replace udev-oxnas.

I am trying to get a kernel update ready that includes all that is needed for systemd-tools and initscripts, so either be patient, or be careful ;) :ugeek:

Yay...

I have to test a little bit more, but I hope to put this out tonight.

And.. I had to redo the module builds. Sorry, this is frustrating for me too. :evil:

I'm about to put Arch on my new Pogoplug too, but it seems I can better wait a bit longer since you're almost done with the rebuild kernel :D. Thanks for your hard work!

I need to make a new rootfs image, but I have the upgrade script working well. Allows for un-ignoring Initscripts, and releasing the requirement for udev-oxnas.

FWIW, this is also happening to me on a Raspberry Pi without any customizations other than a renamed /boot/config.txt (which should be completely unrelated -- a quick solution to get HDMI out working properly on my TV).

You will need to update your kernel then, on the raspberry pi, so that you have a decent build with devtmpfs support.
