AFTER CRASH:

I have a pogoplug pro and decided to put Linux on it through
arch Linux main site and some others as stated above. I run windows vista ;-(
and was able to get mini-tool partition wizard and formatted my pin drive to ext 2 and
followed all the instructions on the site. I went up to installing
and running Linux server (where i can go to I.P. and seen the linux
server running there) however I was unable to get linux server to
boot automatically instead of turining on the pogoplug then typing
"rc.d start httpd". So i decided to just leave it for a few days
and then I will figure out how to auto start linux server and how
to proplerly configure samba.

Ok so I plug it back in the pogoplug boots up, green light solid,
and no ip on network shows up for the plug. Then I tried different
things like changing the linux pin drive USB port and sometimes it
would be stuck on the boot loop with green light blinking and sometimes
if I insert it in the front port the light will come on solid green,
but I cant see it on the network and I cannot ssh into it.

Now I am stuck and have no knowledge of Linux other than what I have
learnt recently. I plugged the pin drive back to my mini-tool partition
program and now it is showing that it is a fat drive not ext 2, also
there is a recycle bin folder with desktop.ini file in it now. Not sure
if that has anything to do with it?? and I can only go as far as viewing
what files are on the drive and not open them to post any errors, not sure
how I would view these on windows vista.

I am willing to follow any step by step advise, can I alter a file with
errors or even start frest somehow, I have also read that the reset
switch inside will only restart and not restore to factory settings
is this correct?? Anyway please HELP!!!!

Wow.....
1)That lifehacker article is over 2 years old and is NOT for the oxnas based plugs.
2) The anandtech forum post is also NOT for the oxnas
3) The Joepetruska one is ALSO NOT for the oxnas.
4) The youtube video is NOT for the oxnas...

for the oxnas based plugs, you need to format them as ext3 not ext2.

Actually, you should have started here. http://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv6/pogoplug-provideov3

I'm really hoping you didn't try to install the kirkwood uboot on the oxnas...that tends to not work well.
