p21 = e02?

I picked up a pogoplug classisc from J&R $19, the box says P21, the add says P21, but the device is listed as E02. I cracked the case and there is a big Marvel chip in the middle and no sata port....

It's a known occurrence, it's a E02 innards put into a "Classic" shell/box

Yes, I ordered a B01 from buy.com for $12.99, got a B01 box with an E02 inside. First I had seen of a B01 doing this. P21 box with E02 has been much more common. It is on its way back for a refund.

I also complained on Pogoplug forums and got a few responses from a pogo CSR that "the functionality should be the same." I pointed out that it is fraud to ship version 2 hardware in version 3 boxes. No real response to that.

The labels on the bottom of the devices always seem to be correct.

Well, i would prefer to have a v5 E02 with more RAM and with a kernel up-to-date than a v6 device
