pogoplug - mirror folder function?

Hey,

i´m trying to recreate the mirror folder function of the stock pogoplug firmware.
My idea after googling around: create a rsync script file and schedule it via a cron job.

Is there a better way to do this (mirror between two local devices/folders)?

That's actually about as sound as it gets, unless you create/use a daemon that watches the folder with inotify.
