udev + ubifs related kernel panic booting from nand

Postby pazos » Fri Jan 11, 2013 6:04 pm

Hi folks! Yesterday I made some tests about nand install on a oxnas pogo pro. Tried with emdebian and current kernel from warheadsSE's github (with devtmpfs). Everything was fine when i boot from usb ( kernel via tftp or nand loading ) but I found a kernel panic when I tried to boot from ubifs (same rootfs copied) I recompiled a kernel without devtmpfs and tried to boot again: same oops..

Then I tried to boot a custom buildroot rootfs from nand (that uses mdev as device handler) with both original kernel & devtmpfs kernel and both kernels worked as expected (no panic)

Do you have some experience booting from nand (with udev as device handler) in an oxnas pogo?

Thanks for your time!!! :)
