Use new USB-Stick

Hello,

Linux Noob looking for help.

I installed Archlinux on my -B04 with this tutorial

How do i reset the pogoplug to the retail version to install archlinux on a new USB-Stick?

You don't have to revert to install to a new usb drive. Just format the disk ext3 and extract the rootfs tarball as root. Done.

i am sorry. As i said. Linux noob.

I am using Windows PCs, i cannot access data on the stick. the old is 8BG, the new will be 2GB.

I think you are suggesting to copy the files (what is a tarball?). Can i do this with the console on the pogoplog? I got the instructions on how to format, i can do that.

i think it would be easier to doo the installation again.

Boot the plug with the. Existing stick
Format the new stick
Copy everything from the old stick

Reboot with new stick

can you please tell me the right prompt for copieing everything. it does not work via webmin filemangager.

The new stick is formated and mountet to "/newstick".
