systemd and nss-myhostname in conflict, what to do?

Postby darkside401 » Sat Feb 02, 2013 9:41 am

Hey there,
i just wanted to do a pacman -Syu on my P24 Pogo.
Now pacman tells me that there is a confilct between nss-myhostname and core/systemd and asks me if i want to replace nss-myhostname with core/systemd?

What is the right answer here? I thought that the Oxnas devices still work with SysVinit.

I just dont want to break something.

Okay when i build that package, what do i have to do than?

Simply install the Package with pacman -U and than do the pacman -Syu or is there something special to watch after?

I just tried this and did remove the nss-myhostname. It does reboot for me and I can log in but I it seems inconsistent about connecting to the network.

still trying: avahi, minidlna

@sethjvm:
Any news about that? Did you had any time to test? Is it working?

I've been running it solid since February 2 and nothing seems to be broken.

So you removed nss-myhostname and installed nss-myhostname-separate, or did you just removed nss-myhostname?
