You can most easily fix hard-drive and/or filesystem errors by plugging the drive into a laptop running any flavor of Linux (even booted from a live DVD), and using tools like fsck (for filesystem errors) and smartctl (for hardware errors).
My drive doesnt support smart.
So I run fsck and bad sector scan but everything is fine..
This cant even happen by hard disk getting to sleep as my torrents are downloading continuously.
