boots ok but not able to ssh

recently my hdd crashed so i extracted tarball again to the harddisk
i have done this 2times..
first time it ssh
then i do pacman -Syu install webmin and transmission
and when reboot i am not able to ssh
ofcourse the ip is correct.

What can i check?

Just the once, manually put it back it won't ever get deleted again. Recommend you backup folders /etc/rc.d and /etc/conf.d

Also note that some of the executables have migrated from /usr/sbin to /usr/bin, and more of them are sure to follow. The restored initscripts won't get updated automatically, of course, so you'll have to check what's moved and change it in the scripts yourself. It turns out that sshd is one of the executables that has moved, but I updated the script yesterday before saving it in the previously-mentioned forum thread. It's not easy to keep up with all this, I know!

ohk i created the scripts as u gave
but still not able to ssh :(
everytime i am getting connection refused error :cry:

I'm not really sure whether there is some kind of unit testing you guys do , since i did a update could not figure out why it was not able to ssh so got another tarball even that is not booting.

Atleast don't break things, if it cannot be tested then don't release it
