How to restore a Pink Pogoplug B04 nand?

Postby deralte » Sun Aug 25, 2013 8:49 pm

Hi

I've got a pogoplug that was not booting - it seems to be bricked while trying to update the nand. I was able to boot again via SATA as described in this forum. Thx for this!

I'm now looking for a way to restore the nand as I want to use the pogo without harddisk. This post

viewtopic.php?f=55&t=1172&start=90#p14311

states that I should use this script:

viewtopic.php?f=29&t=1172&start=50#p10187

I've downloaded the file and called to provided script:

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '
[root@alarm ~]# ./write_uboot
Erasing 128 Kibyte @ 60000 -- 100 % complete
Writing data to block 0 at offset 0x0
Writing data to block 1 at offset 0x20000
Writing data to block 2 at offset 0x40000
Writing data to block 3 at offset 0x60000
')

Than I rebooted and waited but the device didn't request an IP address and the LED on the front stayed dark. Where should I enter following?
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '
setenv bootcmd "run boot_nand"
saveenv
reset
')

Is there a better way to restore the system? Can I restore it the factory default and start again from there? e.g. with an complete original nand image I just need to apply?

Thx for your help.
