seagate staj100 hd media player

First, I don't know the CPU specs for this seagate staj100 hd media player. So, please accept my sincere apology if this post doesn't here and do kindly move it to a more appropriate sub-forum. Thanks.

I would like to get a unit of this seagate staj100 hd media player to run any open-source Linux, i.e. ALARM, debian, OpenWRT, etc. However, before I do so, I would like to know if this device can be hacked to run ALARM, debian, OpenWRT, etc. Anyone?

You are probably right. I did some Google searches and found it uses a Realtek 1073DD Single Core CPU @ 400 Mhz. Probably, it will be too slow to run some applications.
