[SOLVED] Pogoplug V4 won't boot after install

Postby senselessfull » Sun Mar 22, 2015 12:38 pm

So I bought a pogoplug v4-a3-01 and the first thing I did was to install arch.
I followed the instructions provided here but it didn't boot.

So serial cable and this it what happens:
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '

Do you have any idea to why that happens?
I checked and there is a init in /sbin/init and it points to systemd.

But that shouldn't be a problem, should it?
Any help is really appreciated.

Add to command line/bootargs:
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'init=/usr/lib/systemd/systemd')

This should at least get you booting. If that doesn't work, we've got some larger issues with your drive, apparently.

You want to have
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '
optargs=init=/usb/lib/systemd/systemd
')

Though, that might be "extraargs"

EDIT:
um, who changed my reply instead of posting a new response?

I tried adding
optargs=init=/usr/lib/systemd/systemd
and
extraargs=init=/usr/lib/systemd/systemd

to /boot/uEnv.txt and nothing changed.

Where am I supposed to add those entries to?
EDIT:
So I added init=/usr/lib/systemd/systemd to my bootargs in the u-boot enivronment (and saved them) but it still panics at boot.

Also ls just return that the mtdids are not defined, should that be like that?

I am getting the feeling it doesn't like your USB stick's rootfs. It is that Cruzer, yes?

Yes, you guessed it exactly right. It one of those cruzer blades.

I'll try with another stick right now.

EDIT:
Yes, another edit. I know.
BUT, it works now with another USB stick, it's still from sandisk but not a cruzr. It's a Ultra 3.0.

By the way, the reinstallation tutorial calls for ext4 but that didn't work at all. Even tried ext2 but the onyl thing that worked was ext3. So we shoudl probably update that part.
Another noname stick also didn't work with ext4, so it might not just be connected to sandisk.

But thanks for the help :)
