Install Arch on Odroid Using XFS?

Postby cachedrive » Fri Nov 20, 2015 12:19 am

I recently picked up a odroid Xu4 SBC and ran through the install instructions. Issue I have is my app running on this SBC performs optimally w/ XFS over EXT4. Is this a problem for me?

The bootloader might not speak XFS. Can you use a second partition for the application data?

Your response is more confusing. The boot loader in normal circumstances doesn't use EXT4 either. It uses FAT32 for /boot, no? The remaining OS outside of /boot uses the EXT4 partition. My question is not about making the FAT32 boot partition XFS but rather the installation section specific to EXT4 just being changed to XFS. I don't see why this wouldn't work but figured I'd ask here.

XFS is not built, and not built-in to the kernel as it is.
