Issues running LXQT on a Samsung Chromebook

Postby lephonet » Fri Feb 01, 2019 4:44 pm

I have a Samsung Chromebook XE303C12 and have problems using LXQT as desktop environment with it.

For some reason the contents of the terminal (qterminal) are always pushed to the left, making it hard to configure things when persented with a GUI

I also have issues with setting permissions for a normal user. I need to enter sudo to use wifi-menu (which is also as distoted as alsamixer, but I won't show it because of the wifi names) and when I try to run ping, this happends:
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '$ ping 8.8.8.8
ping: socket: Operation not permitted
')

And following the instruction to suspend the device when closing the lid, returns this when entered
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '$ sudo pacman -S acpid pm-utils
[sudo] password for username:
error: target not found: pm-utils')

While lxqt is packaged for it, has anyone actually tried to use lxqt on arm at all?
