GNU screen take up a lot of CPU.

English is not my native language; please excuse typing errors.
I'm using arch linux arm on my raspberry pi 3b, installed from the offical image, all other packages are latest.
screen version is 4.6.2-1.
When I entered "screen" to start a new screen, it will take several minutes for it to respond.
I saw it take almost 100% CPU time with top.
I think screen is not supposed to take up so much CPU for minutes.
I didn't modify /etc/screenrc.

I use tmux on my RPi3 without this issue. I have not tried screen. https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Tmux
