No Updates for Raspberry PI

Postby cbcs » Fri Jun 09, 2023 4:46 pm

I have not received any updates using pacman -Syu since May 14th. Is there something I need to change?

No, should be back shortly. New servers and adjustment/rebuild for recent changes by Arch Linux repos.

Is there anything a general user can do to help with this? I was quite worried about the state of the project and the people behind it. I'm happy to hear it's just a matter of time.

Glad I'm not the only one having this issue. I thought I was losing my mind for a bit there.

Yep, was waiting for updates, too, but I was aware that upstream Arch Linux has reorganized its repos (https://archlinux.org/news/git-migration-completed/). So something probably has to be done for Arch Linux ARM as well to reflect that. Thank you for maintaining this nice project!

are pacman packages rebuilt?

Postby andiling » Sun Jun 18, 2023 7:49 am

Hey,
I am just wondering... I did not receive updates for around a month while I can PKGBUILDs updates on GitHub. core, extra, community, alarm and aur are all up to do date.
I know rebuilds happen from time to time but this seems a bit long to me.
Thanks for your support,
Andreas

MOD NOTE - merged

Yes, updates were required along with a new server. Things are coming along/should be back to normal rolling release cycle soon. Also exploring ways to announce future news, perhaps a news section like Arch does. More to come.

I haven't received any updates for my Raspberry Pi either.
I wonder if there's a specific reason for this or if there's something we need to adjust in our settings.
Any insights or updates from the community would be greatly appreciated.

This has happened more often recently. Hardly a week without someone asking on the forums. Someone should make a sticky note about this
