That's what I got from the downloads page. Should I look into updating the kernel? I'm not sure where to begin.
Also, I tried connecting to the network using a WiFi-USB dongle, but I created a new thread for that. I'd rather get wired to work first, and also get rid of the kernel panic on poweroff. Thanks again for helping me out! If there's anything I can do or any info I can provide please let me know.
AFICT, they don't provide any functional or hardware specification manual that includes Alaska 88E1318. The good chance to get it working is the set of values similar to the one I posted above, but for the 88E1318: viewtopic.php?f=57&t=8827#p46741
They probably want a NDA before they'd give us that. It's Marvell's practice, it will be a while before they publish a manual for public consumption.
