Default value for /etc/nsswitch.conf

Hello everyone,

I'm writing here because I was trying to put Arch Linux on my Google Pixel C tablet via an LXC container, and found this awesome project. Unfortunately I had many problems on getting internet connection to work: apparently I was able to ping anything, connect to anything (via telnet / nc ), drill / dig / nslookup anything but wget, curl and pacman returned a "Name resolution failed" error on every request.

After many days of digging into this problem, I found a solution.

Right now, I'm writing here on why the /etc/nsswitch.conf contains the bad configuration instead of the one I've posted on this blog post?

Some users on this AskUbuntu question had a similar problem and now that we have found a way to solve it we want to know from where it comes from, in order to help getting it fixed.

Is this LXC related or something? Do you guys have any idea?
