Boot doesn't end when enabling display manager

Postby Guisanti » Thu Mar 23, 2017 1:47 pm

Hello. This is my first post and I came for help.
This is the second attempt of installing archARM on my RaspberryPi2. I have problems with the display manager because after enabling lightdm service, system won't start (I tried before with lxdm and the problem was still there) .
I installed xorg-server and its utilities, also xf86-video-fbdev and tried startx to check if it worked and it did.
After that I installed xfce and all its complements and lastly lightdm.
The problem is that I enabled it and rebooted, it gives me an error on enabling lightdm (with lxdm didn't happened) and then it gets stuck on boot.
Could you help me with the problem? At least tell me a way to see the logs or to start in safe mode, I have searched on google and didn't found anything.
Thank you for the help

I had this same problem, but solved it with some of the info found in these links. I don't have my arch SD card handy, so I can't tell you what exactly I did, so I'm just going to give you these links and wish you luck.

Plus never hurts to read the official stuff:
