Error while loading shared library

Postby GameOver69 » Sat Jun 03, 2017 11:18 pm

I had a fully funtioning MythTV box running on ArchLinux, and as of a few days ago, i have been having some issues with the mythfilldatabase command.

please see the output below:

mythfilldatabase --dd-grab-allmythfilldatabase: error while loading shared libraries: libass.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

The libass package is installed, so im not sure what the issue is. The distribution and all its packages are all fully updated.

I appreciate any help on this. Thanks

Arch Linux, or Arch Linux ARM?

This appears to be due to libass being rebuild on 13 April 2017, but MythTV being updated on 26 April 2017, however failing to build.

I love how the response here is "It looks like you have an incorrect gl.h" #stamp

https://code.mythtv.org/trac/ticket/13031

Sure enough, it does appear that somehow, this is missing the appropriate declarations, somehow.

so mythtv was not built properly in the community repo?

this is just something i have to wait to be fixed? I would assume rebuilding my box would lead to the same issue then?

The build is failing. I have gotten MythTV's dev team to agree to investigate with us, no immediate ETA.
