Please add x86_64-elf binutils and gcc to official repos

Hello everyone,

I would like to compile on my Raspberry Pi packages for my x86_64 computer. In order to do so I need the gcc and binutils packages compiled for use to the `x86_64` target. There is an aur package for it but it is outdated.

I think arm users of Arch Linux could make use of this package a lot, just as non arm Arch Linux users use the package - https://www.archlinux.org/packages/comm ... -binutils/ to compile software for arm.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('graysky', '.')..why?

Sharing/shifting the load to an inexpensive machine. Something like torrent downloading, working overnight with a small power amount.

Seems crazy to me to shift compilation to a cell phone :)

IMO this is pretty reasonable. Raspberry Pis make a lot less noise and are musch more power efficient then normal x86_64 machines.
Actually, I would like to use my Raspberry Pi to compile and serve as a repository of all the aur packages I maintain and use. Since it is powered on most of the time and I can ssh to it remotely using dynamic dns, I've figured it should be quite comfortable.

I don't think a lot of people would use it, because if it is a recent package to compile it will take forever compared to an normal desktop machine and compared to the compilation power I would not be so sure if the pi still is more power efficient.

Nevertheless you should also compile the package yourself, just get the PKGBUILD of the repos:
