RPi4 aarch64 installation issue, uSD not recognised

Postby Klepto » Thu Mar 05, 2020 7:34 pm

Hi

Installing using moonman's(?) latest aarch64 rootfs tarball for the raspberry pi 4 (2020-03-02) fails. On first boot it can't see the uSD card, I'm assuming there's some vital component or driver missing from the kernel. Installing using the previous 2020-01-18 release works. I've tried three different cards from different manufacturers, it doesn't appear to be a card issue.

Is this a know issue?
Is this the correct place to report this? If not where should I go?
Since this appears to be a problem with the kernel I'm holding off on upgrading the kernel lest I make the system unbootable. Can someone please confirm the latest working kernel?

Thanks in advance for any replies :)

Not sure if related, but the armv7h branch was affected by this: https://github.com/raspberrypi/linux/co ... e4cc2819a6

Change to config: https://github.com/archlinuxarm/PKGBUIL ... 73474573c1

Releated?

Yup, that was the problem, thanks graysky.

I've updated the kernel and the image. non-booting ones were removed.
