How to build packages in GitLab CI CD?

Hi,
I created some packages for x86_64. The source code (incl. the PKGBUILD's) are stored on GitLab.com, and I use GitLab CI CD to build the packages for x86_64 (by creating a docker container, installing the Arch Linux x86_64 image from docker hub and building the package). Finally, the built packages are deployed to a custom repository. That works very well.

Now, I want to build the packages in addition for arm platforms. What is the best / recommended approach? Is it possible to go for a similar approach as I use for x86_64? I.e. utilizing docker containers in GitLab CI CD? That's what I would prefer.
