aarch64 openvpn doesn't work in chroot

Postby sylend » Thu May 28, 2020 4:14 pm

Greetings
I have a .ovpn file which works on my Desktop normally in Arch Linux to access my network. I have installed Arch Linux through LinuxDeploy's script on my Android - please don't judge.
In case you don't know, it basically chroots the whole thing in your Android. It works like a charm. Running su -c 'openvpn myvpn.ovpn' seems to work as I get the same output I get on my Desktop and Raspberry as it says "Initialization Sequence Completed". However when I try to access my network it seems as if it's not connected at all as it can't resolve any hosts.

Sorry if this is too specific and thanks a lot in advance for anyone that might try helping out.

Not resolving hosts does not in itself mean it is not connected. Distinguish between the tunnel working and host resolution problems. Can you ping by ip address from your android to your openvpn network, first to the openvpn server ip on the openvpn subnet and then to further ip addresses?

I can ping google for example, but not anything in the subnet.
