Hello everyone,
I have a few ARM devices and I'd love to run any Linux instead of the Android they come with.
Before anything else, though, I assume their original Android images are priceless, if only for the boot / devicetree information in them.
But, how do I extract the images from them? Most of them have just a slot for SD or microSD cards and some USB ports.
I'm not afraid to open them up, either. One of them, a Mele A 2000, even comes with what looks like a USB-serial converter.
Another one, an Acer, basically a display with Android on it is probably much harder to convince? (It also has a micro HDMI input port, to work like an actual display.)
Another one is exactly this but someone already wrote an old Libreelec build on it.
...should I make a list? Are the developers interested in having more ARM images handy? Would this lead to more happy users because their devices are supported?
Not that I need to know what happens to the images after I can hopefully extract them and post them.
