Arch Linux ARM refusing pings after application crash

Hello to all. I am running Arch Linux ARM on a Wandboard Quad that serve as a media server. Media server services are provided by LMS (Lyrion Media Server, formerly Logitech Media server). One of the plug-ins of LMS is repeatedly crashing, and now the Wandboard is unresponsive on my LAN. I am able to connect via the serial debug port, however. I was able to restart LMS, but the Wandboard is still not pingable.

Does or can Arch ARM block incoming packets after an application crash and core dump? Is there a way to make the device accessible again without rebooting?
