Seeking Advice: Best Practices for Optimizing Arch Linux ARM

Postby losting » Thu Jun 05, 2025 9:23 am

Hi all,
I'm currently setting up Arch Linux ARM on a Raspberry Pi 5 and looking to optimize the system for general performance and package build times. I've installed the base system and configured networking and SSH, but I’d love to hear any tips from experienced users in this community.

Specifically, I'm wondering:
Any suggested makepkg.conf or pacman.conf tweaks for ARMv8?

I'm comfortable with Arch on x86_64 but relatively new to the ARM version, so any insights into device-specific tuning or useful scripts would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

No, there isn't. Just use the system as normal. No need to "optimize" anything.
