env default -f on samsung arm chromebook

After install I'm getting the "SMDK5250 #" prompt on every single reboot, having to do env default -f; saveenv every time so that ctrl+u boots me into arch.

Is there a way to remove this requirement so that ctrl+u boots arch automatically?
