SNES9x doesn't output video

Postby przemub » Sat Dec 28, 2013 6:07 pm

Hi!

I have a Samsung ARM Chromebook with installed Arch. Desktop environment is XFCE.

I installed SNES9x and VBA-M emulators from repositories. Both show only black screen on default settings. I haven't found any way to get SNES9x working, but in VBA-M I can switch "Output module" option from OpenGL to Cairo in order to get it working.

In SNES9x preferences I noticed "Hardware Acceleration" option with three choices: None, OpenGL and XVideo. None of them works. XVideo crashes with "Could not open Xv output port." message.

I tried to install freeglut, glproto, glew, glu and glm packages to get it working, but it didn't help.

What should I try now? Thanks for help.
