FTP Server

I just installed archlinux on my Pogoplug Series 4. I noticed that there is an ftp client and ftpd.
I did some research on ftp on this platform and there seems to be some popular ftp packages: proftp, glftp, and vsftp
What about the ftp on the distribution I have on my pogoplug now? Can I use that? How do I set it up?

I got my dist using wget http://archlinuxarm.org/os/ArchLinuxARM ... est.tar.gz.

I started the ftp daemon and ftp works well, except I can't list directories when I am ftp'ed into the pogoplug.
Any ideas?

I believe the default distribution already includes sftp so you might want to consider using that versus regular ftp.
