I think you have to
pacman -R package-query
But where did package-query come from, compile it yourself from aur?

As far as I could understand, it gets installed if you install yaourt (noobs like me like some help to install aur packages ;) ).
To fix the problem it is enough to reinstall package-query, either using yaourt or in the "official" aur way.

Hello folks,

when I try 'pacman -R package-query', I get

checking dependencies...
error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
:: yaourt: requires package-query>=1.4

I don't understand the cause of this problem, because I use official repositories only and install updates continuos.

Michael

As far as I could see package-query is not in any official repository.
Have you installed yaourt on your system? If yes try yaourt -S package-query.
If not (but then I don't know how package-query got installed) look here: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/package-query/ and follow instructions there.

Hello,

man ythanks to Guidobelix, his hint works!
I think/remember, it was required for special software installation, I used some months before.

How ever..., many thanks

Michael
