pacman not working

Postby gcotant » Wed Feb 11, 2015 6:22 am

I recently installed arch arm onto my pi and pacman doesn't seem to want to work. This is my first time messing with pi in general.
At first it would just give me these errors saying that packages were corrupted, but then it said it was timing out, and now it is saying that it can't even find the packages. I have a feeling it part of it may be due to some network connections issues but I can't seem to identify the problem. Any help would be appreciated.

How are you using pacman? pacman -S or pacman -Sy(u) ?

More details would be nice with copy paste. Ping google. Try different mirrors.

Problem may have been resolved. A friend let me borrow their monitor so that I would be close enough to plug it into my own router, instead of using the ethernet port in the wall of my roommate's bedroom. Meaning the issue was caused by my apartment building's stupid ISP.
