ownCloud install on pogoplug

Postby fb3ajb » Mon Jan 27, 2014 2:28 am

Tried running:

# pacman -S owncloud

on my ArchLinux pogoplug and I'm getting a 404 Not found error on each of the file download locations for the 5 files from the package.

The file list also says that it is looking to download 'owncloud-5.0.11.-1-any.pkg.tar.xz'

That seems odd as the package listing is noted as 6.0.1-1

I am a nube, but I've run pacman many times and never seen this before. I've also tried changing the syntax of owncloud to various things like owncloud-beta or owncloud 6.0.1-1 but they did not work either.

I'm not tied to ownCloud so if there's a way to install Pydio or Seafile, please let me know. Or let me know why I shouldn't use either. I'm just looking for a way to use my ALarm pogoplug with a Tonido type package.

Any help you can offer would be great. Thanks in advance for any advice!!

run pacman -Sy instead of -S. You need to sync with repos first. Better yet do a full update before installatatio so there is no breakage.

Awesome!

Thanks for the quick reply. I have owncloud loaded.

Now I just need to figure out how to run it...
