plex - building the video index with a faster computer?

Hi,

I successfully installed Plex Media Server on my Pogoplug E02, but indexing files against TVDB etc seems really slow. Is there a way I could index the files on a different faster machine?

If i setup a VirtualBox ArchLinux on my PC and then just copy the library application support folder over back to the PogoPlug's boot drive (using the same /media/IOMEGA_2TB folder mount for the location of files on my external hard drive) should that work?
