Hi guys. I have an E02 that I installed ALARM, Samba, and Plex Media Server on. Installed everything on a 1.5TB hard drive, with everything partitioned correctly. I use it to stream media to my jailbroken Apple TV2, and using the Plex apps on my tv and iPhone. For months, everything worked just dandy. Then, a power outage. My Pogoplug and hard drive are actually on a battery backup, as is my Uverse gateway. But my Netgear gigabit switch is not, so technically, that should've been the only link in the chain that lost power.
Suddenly, my streaming media to my Apple TV buffers constantly. I can't even use the Plex app. When I try to transfer new media from my Windows computer, my transfer rate is less than 100 KB/second, when before the power outage, it was 10-11 MB/s. This thing is crawling now. I ran Iperf between two computers at my house, and I have a bandwidth of 507 Mbps, but between either computer and the Pogoplug, it's 2 Mbps.
I have tried installing ALARM, plus everything else on an entire new hard drive, yet no change. I've replaced the cable. I've unplugged the router and back on, and the same with the gateway. I've tried rebooting the Pogo, and unplugging the Pogo. Nothing changes. Is my Pogoplug dead, or is there a way to fix this.
Also, I'm a total newb at Linux, so dumbing this down for me, plus any help, would be greatly appreciated.
