linux-firmware

Is linux-firmware package required on armv5 type box, specifically NSA325. Seems to mainly be firware for intel/amd/wifi devices - and I use none of these. Its reasonably big, and I'm running out of space in my 1GB root fs ...

Yes could just repartition the disk, shrink either boot or swap. But thats a hassle ...

Seems like a bigger hassle to have to mess with the FS inorder to make it fit a small partition. My rootfs is 25GB and I use over 6GB on it, including a 512M swap file. 1GB will be too small for some other reason soon enough. Then your other partitions will be even harder to move.
