sshd broken

Postby wirelessben » Thu Sep 29, 2022 3:05 am

I have a Pogoplug E02 which _was running_ sshd on Archlinux. After shutting down, unmounting, and re-mounting the thumb drive, and booting, sshd broke and will not allow me to ssh in. "Connection refused." I didn't change anything.

Anyway, I need to make sure sshd starts so I can login. /etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target-wants/sshd.service points to /lib/systemd/system/sshd.service, but the systemd log shows that sshd never gets loaded. The last message in the log is from emergency.service, saying /usr/bin/plymouth failed to load (because it isn't there -- this is an embedded system).

I can ping the system after boot. I just need sshd to start. How?
