Successful Syu

Postby Socaltom » Sun Apr 17, 2016 9:56 pm

I'm so used to seeing issues come up after a pacman Syu, I thought it only fair that I report my successful upgrade.
The system is a go-flex net located about 45 minutes away. Its was running over 117 days according to top, so obviously I haven't updated in a while.
I ran a pacman -Syu, and it updated over 200 packages, and updated the u-boot. I wasn't sure if the root login would work, so I did create a user before I rebooted. ( I wasn't sure if alarm:alarm would be there on an upgrade).

So it did all the upgrades, and it rebooted, and what surprised me the most was that openvpn came back up, and a few minutes later its up and running.
Nice work guys.
I love it when a plan comes together.
